As Operations Director I am responsible for implementing and managing Helm Godfrey’s policies and procedures to enable the efficient and compliant running of the company. I ensure our policies and procedures remain current and appropriate by keeping up to date with changes in regulation, legislation and the company’s strategic business plan.
I have oversight of the HR function within Helm Godfrey, which means I have responsibility for HR strategy, recruitment and talent development. One of the most enjoyable parts of my role is the co-ordination and running of the company’s trainee adviser programme where we successfully develop our staff to become the next generation of financial advisers, so helping to ensure the long-term future of the company.
As well as being a member of the Helm Godfrey Board I am a member of the Risk Committee, HR & Remuneration Committee and act as Training and Competence Supervisor to a number of the company’s financial advisers.
In my spare time I enjoy walking and meeting friends. Recently, I have taken to learning to speak Spanish – very slowly and with a London accent!
